German exam centres in Erfurt

Erfurt is covered by two very different providers: the Thuringian VHS association, which publishes a full telc price list and examines in both Erfurt and Jena, and IIK, which handles the DTZ and the professional language exams doctors and pharmacists need for their licence.

What is different about Erfurt

Results take six to eight weeks

That is the longest turnaround on this site - Bremen quotes six weeks for telc, Halle three to five. If a permit or job deadline depends on the certificate, work backwards from eight weeks, not from the exam date.

Pay before the deadline, not on the day

The VHS association requires the fee to have reached its account by the registration deadline. A transfer sent on the closing day may not count.

Medical German is available here

IIK runs the Fachsprachprüfung-style exams for doctors, pharmacists and dentists alongside the DTZ - useful if you need occupational rather than general German for a licence.

One association, two cities

The same provider examines in Erfurt and Jena. If one calendar is full the other may not be, and the fees are identical.

Have the date? Now get the score.

Booking is the easy half. Sit a full model test in the format you booked - Goethe, telc or DTZ - and let the analytics tell you which module needs the weeks between now and your date.
