Speaking practice with AI feedback

Sprechen is the module most learners skip, for the obvious reason that it needs another person. PassDeutsch removes that dependency: guided conversation lessons for everyday exam topics, exam-format recording tasks, and an evaluation that scores each part and tells you what a stronger answer would have contained.

How it works

    Start with a guided conversation

    Short sessions - around five minutes each - walk through the topics the exam actually uses: introducing yourself, giving your address and phone number, arranging an appointment, planning something together.

    Move to exam prompts

    Record your answers to real Sprechen tasks for your level and provider: Teil 1 personal information, Teil 2 topic or picture, Teil 3 the joint planning task.

  3. 3

    Get a part-by-part score

    The evaluation gives you a mark for each Teil and a total out of 100, with feedback on content coverage, pronunciation clarity and structure.

  4. 4

    Fix one thing at a time

    The feedback names specific phrases that confused the listener. Re-record with those fixed - improvements in speaking come from repetition with correction, not from more input.

Questions

Can AI really prepare me for a paired speaking exam?

It prepares you for the two things you can prepare alone: knowing what to say and saying it clearly under time pressure. The interaction with a real partner is best rehearsed with a person, so treat AI practice as the daily training and a conversation partner as the dress rehearsal.

Does it check my pronunciation?

The feedback comments on clarity and on words that were hard to understand, including things like spelling your name or reading out a phone number - both of which appear in the A1 exam and both of which candidates regularly lose points on.

Is my recording stored?

Recordings are used to produce your evaluation and to show your progress in the app. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings, or by emailing support.
