German exam centres in Wiesbaden

Wiesbaden has three licensed centres and, unusually, one that publishes two price lists - one for its own course participants and a higher one for everyone else. Worth knowing before you assume the advertised fee is the fee you will pay.

What is different about Wiesbaden

Two prices for the same exam

ProfiL charges its own course participants €20 less than external candidates at every level - €170 against €190 at A1, €230 against €250 at C1. If you are taking a preparation course anyway, taking it there pays for part of itself.

C1 runs once a year

At ProfiL the C1 Hochschule exam is offered a single time per year, and B2 twice. If you need an advanced certificate on a deadline, check the vhs calendar in parallel rather than waiting.

Goethe without travelling to Frankfurt

The vhs runs Goethe-Zertifikat B2 and C1 in the city. For A1 to B1 Goethe exams, the Goethe-Institut in Frankfurt is about 40 minutes away.

Frankfurt is the overflow

Wiesbaden and Frankfurt are close enough that candidates routinely book in whichever has the earlier date. Frankfurt has four verified centres including the Goethe-Institut.

Have the date? Now get the score.

Booking is the easy half. Sit a full model test in the format you booked - Goethe, telc or DTZ - and let the analytics tell you which module needs the weeks between now and your date.
