A discount most people miss
If you have taken a course or an exam at any Saxon Volkshochschule in the past 24 months, you qualify for a reduced DTZ fee. Mention it at registration - it is not applied automatically.
The university route for C1 Hochschule
interDaF at the University of Leipzig examines telc B1, B2 and C1 Hochschule with fixed registration windows that close roughly four weeks ahead. If you are heading for a German university, that is the centre that knows the format.
Registration is in person, with original ID
The vhs takes exam registrations at its Service Punkt on Löhrstraße, and you must show an original identity document - not a photocopy or a photo on your phone.
Not every DTZ centre takes self-payers
VMKB states that people outside the integration course system cannot sit its DTZ - a valid Teilnahmeberechtigung or prior course attendance is required. If you are paying your own way, confirm that before booking anywhere.
