German exam centres in Wuppertal

For a city of 360,000, Wuppertal has unusual exam capacity: three verified centres, one running more than a hundred exams a year, and all three publishing their fees. It is also one of the few places offering individual exam appointments, at a premium, when the scheduled dates do not work.

What is different about Wuppertal

An exam on your own date, for a price

WIBI offers individual appointments - €230 at A1/A2 against €170 on a scheduled date, and up to €290 at the higher levels. Expensive, but cheaper than missing a permit deadline.

Three centres, three prices at B1

Akzentschule charges €150 at B1 and B2, WIPA €180 at B1 and €190 at B2, WIBI €175. For the identical certificate that is a €40 spread inside one city - and Akzentschule is the cheapest at both levels.

Not every telc centre does the DTZ

Akzentschule states outright that it runs telc B1 but no DTZ. WIPA covers the DTZ at €180. Check which licence a centre actually holds before you book the wrong exam.

DTZ over two days

WIPA schedules the written and oral parts of the DTZ on consecutive days rather than in one sitting. Plan for two afternoons, not one.

Capacity is good for the size

Over a hundred exams a year at one centre means Wuppertal often has a date when Düsseldorf and Köln are full - and it is half an hour from both.

Have the date? Now get the score.

Booking is the easy half. Sit a full model test in the format you booked - Goethe, telc or DTZ - and let the analytics tell you which module needs the weeks between now and your date.
