Bosnia and Herzegovina sends more people to work in Germany per head than almost anywhere in Europe, and the certificate is usually the last thing standing between a signed contract and a visa appointment. The Goethe-Institut in Sarajevo examines the full range from A1 to C2, plus TestDaF and the Goethe-Test PRO.
Where to sit the exam
Each centre was checked on the exam board's own website. Dates and fees change, so confirm directly with the centre before you pay or travel.

The institute, its language course office and its library all operate from this one address.
The Österreich Institut names Sarajevo among the cities where it runs ÖSD exams. It publishes no Sarajevo street address on that page and no fee list, so ask for both when you register. The nursing B2 is the useful one here if you are heading into healthcare.
We do not publish individual sitting dates: they change too often to be safe. Follow the centre link for the current calendar.
Before you book
Work routes to Germany from the Western Balkans tend to move faster than language learning does. If you already have an employer, find out the exact level and board they need before you start a course, not after.
Most employment and vocational routes ask for B1; nursing recognition normally B2, and some German states add a professional language test on top. Both levels run in Sarajevo.
Sarajevo is the only verified exam location. From Banja Luka, Mostar or Tuzla that is a few hours each way, so build the travel into the exam day rather than treating it as an afterthought.
The institute offers TestDaF, but you register on testdaf.de rather than with the institute, on six fixed dates a year with places allocated in registration order.
Sitting the exam abroad usually means one shot and a long wait for the next date. Practise in the real format first - Goethe, telc or DTZ - and let the analytics show which module still needs the weeks you have left.
