Iraq has two Goethe exam locations, Baghdad and Erbil, both hosted inside other institutions rather than in buildings of their own. Between them they cover the full Goethe-Zertifikat range from A1 to C2, plus TestDaF for university admission and the Goethe-Test PRO for the workplace.
Where to sit the exam
Each centre was checked on the exam board's own website. Dates and fees change, so confirm directly with the centre before you pay or travel.

Hosted at the Institut Français on Abu Nawas Street. The institute publishes no building number or postcode, so confirm the exact entrance when you register.
ETTC, Nawroz Street, near Sardam Hospital, Erbil
Hosted at the ETTC on Nawroz Street, with Sardam Hospital given as the landmark. No building number is published - use the hospital to navigate.

Before you book
Baghdad sits at the Institut Français and Erbil at the ETTC. Neither has a published building number, and both give landmarks instead - confirm the exact entrance with the institute rather than relying on a map pin.
Erbil serves the Kurdistan region and Baghdad the centre and south. Both examine the full range, so check which calendar has your level before committing to the journey between them.
German universities teaching in German normally ask for TestDaF or Goethe-Zertifikat C1. Both are offered here, but they are different exams in format and scoring - read the admission letter carefully.
Requirements quoted by agents are frequently out of date. Ask the German mission handling your file directly and keep the answer, especially where a family reunion or study file depends on the exact certificate.
Sitting the exam abroad usually means one shot and a long wait for the next date. Practise in the real format first - Goethe, telc or DTZ - and let the analytics show which module still needs the weeks you have left.
