Singapore runs its German exams through the Goethe-Institut at 136 Neil Road, in the Blair Plain conservation area. As a compact city state with one centre, the practical questions here are which levels run on which dates and how early to register - not how far you have to travel.

Kuala Lumpur has both a Goethe-Institut and a licensed telc centre at the German-Malaysian Institute in Kajang, which publishes its fees. That is a short flight and a genuine alternative.
Universities, employers and visa sections do not all accept the same certificate. Get the requirement in writing before booking, especially if you are comparing Goethe against a telc option in the region.
