Before you book
Far faster than the six to eight weeks typical inside Germany. If an employer or agency needs the certificate by a date, this is the rare place where the exam date is nearly the deadline.
The Goethe-Test PRO has a version aimed at nursing professions, which matters given how many Filipino nurses are recruited to German hospitals. B1 or B2 is the usual requirement for recognition.
Most telc centres here run telc Deutsch B1·B2 Pflege, the combined exam written for healthcare staff. It is not the same as a general B2, and some German recognition authorities ask specifically for it - check which one your file needs before you book.
Manila carries the Goethe-Institut plus telc and ÖSD centres in Makati, Ortigas and Malate. Cebu has one verified telc centre. From anywhere else in the country, plan the flight and a night’s accommodation into the cost of the exam.
Only the Cebu centre publishes a full price list. Several Manila centres set the fee after you register, and prices differ for their own students and for external candidates - get the figure confirmed before you commit to a date.
Recognition authorities and hospitals differ on whether they want Goethe-Zertifikat, telc, ÖSD or the Goethe-Test PRO. Confirm the exact certificate before you pay for a sitting.
