Before you book
What is different about Morocco
Two cities, one calendar to compare
Casablanca and Rabat are about an hour apart by train and both examine the full A1 to C2 range. If your level is booked out in one, check the other before you accept a later date - the journey is usually cheaper than the wait.
B1 is the Ausbildung level
Vocational training contracts and most work routes ask for B1, and nursing recognition usually B2. Both are examined in both cities, so nobody needs to leave the country for the level itself.
TestDaF is booked centrally
Both institutes offer TestDaF, but registration runs through testdaf.de rather than the institute counter, on six fixed dates a year. Places are allocated in the order registrations arrive.
Confirm which certificate your file needs
German missions and recognition authorities accept several boards, but the one handling your case has the final word. Get the requirement in writing before you pay for a sitting - it is the cheapest step in the whole process.

Where can I take a German exam in Morocco?
At the Goethe-Institut in Casablanca, at 11 Place du 16 Novembre, or in Rabat, at 7 rue Sana’a. Both examine the full Goethe-Zertifikat range from A1 to C2 and both offer TestDaF.
Where can I take TestDaF in Morocco?
At either Goethe-Institut, but you book through testdaf.de rather than the institute. TestDaF runs on six fixed dates a year at B2 to C1 level for university admission, and seats are allocated in registration order.
Is there a telc or ÖSD exam centre in Morocco?
We checked telc’s own centre register and it lists no examination centre in Morocco, and we could not verify one independently. Treat that as “none found” rather than “none exists”: the register lags reality in places - Vietnam has two licensed telc centres that do not appear in it - and ÖSD publishes no register we can read. If you know of a centre here, send us the link to its exam page and we will check it and add it.
Which level do I need for an Ausbildung in Germany?
Usually B1, and B2 for most nursing recognition files. Confirm with the employer, school or recognition authority handling your case, since requirements vary by German state and by profession.
