Taiwan runs its German exams through the Goethe-Institut in Taipei, on Heping West Road in Zhongzheng District. It covers the full Goethe-Zertifikat range from A1 to C2, with youth versions from A1 to B2, plus TestDaF for university admission and the Goethe-Test PRO. Exchange study and research posts drive most of the demand, which pushes candidates towards the upper levels.

Before you book
Taipei is the only verified exam location. From Kaohsiung or Tainan that is a high-speed rail trip rather than a flight, but it still needs planning into the exam day.
German universities teaching in German normally ask for TestDaF or Goethe-Zertifikat C1, and exchange programmes are the common route from Taiwan. Both run here, but they are different exams - read the offer letter carefully.
Taiwan lists youth versions at B1 and B2 as well as A1 and A2. For a school-age candidate, check which version the receiving institution wants before booking the adult one.
The institute lists TestDaF, but registration runs through testdaf.de rather than the institute, on six fixed dates a year with places allocated in the order they arrive.
Sitting the exam abroad usually means one shot and a long wait for the next date. Practise in the real format first - Goethe, telc or DTZ - and let the analytics show which module still needs the weeks you have left.

Not at any location we could verify. Taipei is the only confirmed centre. We publish a city once its centre is confirmed rather than listing one with nothing behind it.
For programmes taught in German, normally TestDaF or Goethe-Zertifikat C1. Both are available in Taipei, but they are different exams in format and scoring - check which one your offer letter names.
We checked telc’s own centre register and it lists none, and ÖSD publishes no register we can read. Treat that as "none found" rather than "none exists", and ask any school claiming to examine either board for its centre number.
The exam boards maintain their own centre finders. They are the authoritative list.
