Before you book
Algiers is the only verified exam location. From Oran, Constantine or the south that means a long journey, so book the date and the travel in one decision rather than hoping for a nearer sitting.
Chemin Sfindja is still commonly called Laperlier. If a taxi driver does not recognise one, try the other - the institute itself gives both.
German universities teaching in German normally ask for TestDaF or Goethe-Zertifikat C1. Both run in Algiers, but they are different exams in format and scoring - read the admission letter carefully.
Coming from a French-language education helps with study technique, not with German grammar or word order. Candidates here routinely underestimate the jump from A2 to B1 - sit a full timed model test before committing to a date.
Sitting the exam abroad usually means one shot and a long wait for the next date. Practise in the real format first - Goethe, telc or DTZ - and let the analytics show which module still needs the weeks you have left.
